Take Time to Stop and Smell the Frangipani

Every night I walk around the neighborhood and pick up the frangipani off the street. Unless they have used their leaf blower to blow it all away, there is usually plenty on the streets. The tour bus driver said cleaning up after flowering trees is about as much fun as raking up oak leaves.

I put the flowers in a cup with water and they stay fresh and fragrant for a couple days.

Warning: There are some that just flat out stink. I found one last night and had to throw it back on the ground. The yellow is the most fragrant, the pink is nice, and the pink and white is ok.
