Bahia Honda National State Park

Amazing beaches, just amazing. It took my breath away. I got Mom up super early to get there by 8 am when they open. We were the second car in. I sacrificed my morning bike ride for this trip.

I don't think my pictures will do it justice. You will not see how rich the ocean looks or how long the beach is. Just go there yourself and see. It's at Mile Marker 37, you can't miss it.

Today was perfect. Windy enough to take the heat off and sunny with those fluffy white clouds.

This was one piece of the ocean that I had to swim in. I hate self portraits, but nobody was out there to take my picture. Mom waited by the nature center for me to get back. (Look at those freckles! Everyday in the sun really brings those out. And although you can't tell, I'm actually tan, well, tan for me. It's hard not to photoshop out my real age, but there you have it, this is unedited.)

Next time when I go, I will need someone to go with me and hold my hand. Truth be told, I'm a little afraid of the ocean and what's in there waiting to bite off my toes. I need someone to push me to go out further and see more. The water I'm in isn't even up to my waist. But it was warm and clear and like being in a slice of heaven.
