Salt-free Dinner
How come when I cook in Key West it's the same as when I cook at home? It's not totally the same, Mom added the vegetables, and that beer - it's hers not mine. And that colorful blue plate is different. But the chicken (on sale - my family will appreciate that) and rice is same. The grill here is much nicer than mine. Twice as big too.
The foliage is the view from our outdoor eating area. How nice. It's very green here. John, the lawn guy says it's overgrown and messy. But what do we know, we're from up north, our weeds look different there. The weeds here look like ferns. As for John, everybody talks to us here. EVERYBODY. They are some of the friendliest people I've ever met.
As it happens, I have my first sunburn. It's not bad, just a little pink on the arms. I have to remember the sun screen. I didn't think I was out there very long, but it doesn't take long this far south!
We put the trike together. That was a chore outside in the intense heat. I felt like quitting 16 times, but we finally finished. The reflectors rattle and the seat swivels. Mom gave it a short test drive, but then gave up because it was so incredibly hot. Hopefully, she get up early and go for a early morning bike ride. I think she'll really enjoy the morning weather and lack of traffic.
Went swimming twice, changed clothes three times. The second shower in my bathroom I use solely to hang my bath suit in. My bathing suit has it's own room. Is this what it's like to be rich?
