My favorite part of Duval Street was the St. Paul's Episcopal Church. They had their holy water in a shell. How appropriate for this town. Beautiful church open to all for prayer.
May is a bit hot down here, so the trick is to do all your touristy stuff before 10am. And then stay inside all afternoon!!! That works out for me. I'll get in a walk and a swim and do any work I have after that (as I am suppose to be working part time down here, but with all the touristy stuff and blog writing, I have very little time for real work. Don't tell my boss.)
I also stopped by this recommended place. I didn't eat there as it was 9:00 in the morning. But I did get a picture. I hear it's good.
Mom tried out the trike again while I went walking. I told her to get out there before the heat comes back! She managed to go up a couple blocks on White Street. She says there is lots of nice shops up there.
After I took a picture of this house, I learned that it's a $5 million home. It has a mosaic pool and a guest house in the back. Did I mention that the people are friendly down here? I can't stop them from talking to me. It's time to learn to be social.
What day is it today?
I love all your photos, but the church entrance is my favorite so far! Oh, and your background pool water makes me want to dive into the screen. So inviting!
